GERAKAN MASIF MENABUR BIJI POHON, UPAYA MITIGASI PERUBAHAN IKLIM

Abstract

SMA Negeri 7 Pekanbaru, with 867 students, 55 teachers, and 8 administrative staff, is a potential target for outreach activities involving tree seed sowing for climate change mitigation. It is hoped that this information will be disseminated to various levels of society. This community service activity is expected to provide the widest possible benefits to the community in participating in climate change mitigation. The implementation team will implement the following methods: 1) outreach; 2) training and practice; 3) activity evaluation. The expected outputs of this community service activity are 1) scientific articles/journals; 2) publications in mass media (print/electronic); 3) improving partners' knowledge and skills; Through the results of the pre- and post-tests, as well as interactive questions from participants, it was determined that the Community Service Program (PKM) at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru was successful in increasing participants' knowledge and understanding of climate change. Future training/PKM on concrete actions in adapting to and mitigating the impacts of climate change is needed.
