PEMAHAMAN PESERTA DIDIK TENTANG CAKAP PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL AGAR TIDAK TERKENA SANKSI HUKUM DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS NEGERI 7 PEKANBARU

Abstract

The use of technology in the form of social media if used for good things will not cause problems but if used incorrectly it will cause problems in the legal realm, especially for those who use it for bad purposes such as product fraud, gambling, bullying someone and various things that are indicated as crimes both in the civil and criminal fields. Matters related to the regulation of social media use can be seen in the ITE Law but in general we also know the wise use of social media, one of which is respecting privacy, not using social media permanently except for those who use social media for the purpose of working, not creating fake accounts on social media with the aim of bullying someone personally or in a group which in this case aims to insult, either verbal insults or non-verbal insults related to physical form, ethnicity, nation and religion. From the background of the problems that can arise from the impact of social media use, we, the Community Service team of the Faculty of Law, are interested in providing legal counseling related to social media, especially related to the positive and negative aspects related to social media and what are the legal consequences of the wrong use of social media. The Community Service Team in this case will explain one by one related to the use of social media, socialization is carried out through lectures, simulations and giving pretests and posttests, so that in the end we can draw conclusions about the problems experienced by the younger generation regarding social media.
