Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial management practices on financial performance with financial decision quality as a moderating variable in consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2023–2025 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data from the annual financial statements of 63 companies, resulting in 189 observations. Data analysis was conducted using linear regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA) with SPSS. The results indicate that financial management practices have a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Furthermore, financial decision quality is proven to strengthen the relationship between financial management practices and corporate financial performance. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of financial management practices in improving financial performance is highly dependent on the quality of managerial financial decision-making. This study provides both theoretical and practical implications for financial management in consumer goods companies.
